St Vincent's Hospital Brisbane

New Name ::..

1. When the first phase of the redevelopment is complete towards the end of this year, the hospital will be renamed St Vincent's Hospital Brisbane to reflect the name used by other Sisters of Charity hospitals in Toowoomba, Sydney and Melbourne.
2. Sisters of Charity and the name St Vincent's are synonymous with excellence in healthcare and healing ministry and St Vincent's Hospital Brisbane is committed to continuing this mission and carrying out the values of its forbearers.
3. The name Mt Olivet will be retained for the Mt Olivet Palliative Care Service which will operate under the St Vincent's Hospital banner and include, Inpatient Unit, Palliative Home Care Service, Bereavement Services, Palliative Care Education and Collaborative Research Unit.
